Happy to have you back! Now if you are anything like myself I LOVE the internet for good reasons! I wholeheartedly enjoy researching and finding new ways to connect with family and friends. It’s accessible for college students, social life, finding out quick answers and I often use the web to search bible scriptures in a heartbeat (Don’t lie you probably do it too!) However, with all the great things on the internet I cannot deny that it comes with a corruptible side when not used properly.
Moreover, where there is good, one can expect bad to lurk behind the scenes. Prime example; we have the Angels of the Lord along with Satan and his demons. Over the years, I’ve discovered the necessary need for a balance on the internet. If not careful, sites such as Porn-hub, hacking sites, gossiping outlets and even some dating organizations can be harmful for the mind, body and spirit.
In like manner, your eyes are like a camera that sends signals to your brain. It captures pictures of things that you’ll remember for years down the line and the more you yield to negative images and information it will affect your spirit and mood. You must be cautious to which you give your eyes access to.
In essence, I will be sharing 9 internet rules to live by! Just to mention, the world of the internet is at your fingertips you carry the power to decide if you will use it in a great way where it can benefit you or you’re able to demolish yourself by abusing it. The choice is yours.
Rule #1 Set boundaries | Do not share everything online leave a little mystery. Certain things are better offline.
Rule #2 Use it for a positive cause | I know you can decide, but because I have your back I’ll advise you to be a light in a dark crooked world we could use more light!
Rule #3 Your naked pictures go somewhere, just not deleted! If anyone asks, DON’T SEND THEM!
Rule #4 Refrain from arguing with people you barely know| Sis, I’d hate for you to look silly out in these streets. If ever you are itching to respond to an internet thug ask yourself “What would Jesus Do?”
Rule #5 Don’t consume too much of the internet | Are you always online? If yes, you may want to ease up on your screen time. Too much of this equals lack of human interaction. Talk to your families, put your phone on do not disturb and learn to click the “X” button.
Rule #6 If a stranger ask for personal information such as your address, a picture of you and anything that seems abnormal.. Don’t share it EVER!
Rule #7 Fake pages and accounts are whack! Never do this, it’s truly tacky!
Rule #8 Comparing yourself to people on a computer screen is ridicule! You are you and that’s your power! Own that power.
Rule #9 Be yourself! When I was younger, I would imagine to be like a top notch celebrity and everyone would know me and love me, but as I grew wise and mature I found the best thing anyone can be is themselves. | Jesus died for you, not a reproduction of you.
Rose, my job is for you to grow and go out in the world and conquer. Make wise decisions. Your future awaits you, greet it with great news. I am not expecting perfection from you, but what you can control, do it. Be encouraged and thank you so much for reading! Bizou muah!
